Self-talk

Why is it that the self-talk that is so full of lies dominates what we listen to?  The Bible is full of truths that God has promised each and every one of us.  Instead of replaying the words of truth, we instead allow Satan to get into our minds and take our insecurities and self-doubts and cripple us.  Because we allow him to tap into our fears, we do not allow ourselves to be the witnesses that Christ commissions us to be in Matthew 28:19.  We need to drop the worrisome "what ifs" that float around in our heads, and be strong in faith of the "I ams" that fills the old testament and new testament scriptures.  When insecurities start flooding our minds, we must battle the negativities with Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
